Rui is a gracious and conscientious host. He rearranged his schedule to accommodate our late arrival, welcomed us warmly with charcuterie and wine, and made it easy to enjoy a relaxing few days in his hilltop home. A work of love, this stone house sits high above the Douro Valley and has incredible views. A guide to his favorite restaurants and wineries was provided, but Rui made it easy to get answers to any other questions we might have. The rooms are spacious, with large panoramic windows overlooking the valley. The bathrooms are well equipped. The Wi-Fi is great too. We loved that Rui encouraged us to relax and enjoy his home. If the weather had allowed, a dip in the pool with a view would have been on the list.

We loved the house, very well located, decorated and with fantastic views! Rui was very flexible at check-in and check-out, showed us around and left us some welcome snacks. The house is very cozy and comfortable, we really liked the fireplace in the living room and the ACs, one for each bedroom. Definitely a great place to spend time with friends or family right in the heart of the Douro and the vineyard landscape.

We were lucky enough to book this accommodation in time for our trip to the Douro! I must start by saying that the host is as kind and helpful as a traveler could hope for! He made *every* effort to help organize activities and bookings and make suggestions that suited our needs. We even spent a lovely day with him as our guide. Moving on to the property, we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw the stunning location and the beautiful, well-equipped house and property. We only stayed for 2 days, but I wish we had known to spend a week. This was the most relaxing part of our trip to Portugal, and it was a highlight. We took a bit of a risk on a new entry, but my family and I can't recommend this accommodation enough!
